Tarot Reading
I absolutely love tarot! It’s been a trusted companion in my own life, a source of insight, comfort, and gentle guidance, and I feel honoured to share it with others.
As a therapist, I value tarot for its ability to support emotional and psychological exploration. Used intentionally, it becomes a reflective tool that helps us slow down, listen deeply, and engage more consciously with our inner world.
Tarot invites us to see ourselves more clearly. The cards act as a mirror, offering new perspectives and deeper clarity on what’s happening within and around us. This growing awareness can support more empowered choices and help unlock our potential.
By exploring life themes, inner patterns, and the circumstances we find ourselves in, tarot helps us reconnect with our own inner wisdom and navigate life with greater compassion and insight.
What is Tarot?
A tarot deck contains 78 cards, divided into two parts:
- The Major Arcana – 22 cards that reflect big-picture themes and soul lessons. These archetypes — The Fool, The High Priestess, The Tower, The World — represent the universal patterns we all move through as we grow and evolve.
- The Minor Arcana – 56 cards that speak to everyday experiences: our thoughts, emotions, relationships, choices, and patterns.
Together, these cards form a rich tapestry of insight. Tarot offers a way to tune into your intuition and explore what’s stirring beneath the surface.
Some see tarot as divine guidance. Others understand it through the lens of synchronicity — meaningful coincidences that mirror our inner world, a concept popularised by Carl Jung. However you experience it, tarot invites a compassionate conversation with yourself.

What Happens in a Therapeutic Tarot Session?
A therapeutic tarot session creates space to slow down, tune in, and reconnect. Rather than offering fixed answers, it opens up a dialogue — a chance to reflect, get curious, and find your own way forward.
A session may support you to:
- Make sense of what you're feeling or navigating
- Understand underlying patterns, beliefs, or emotional blocks
- Connect with your intuition and inner guidance
- Explore life transitions or times of uncertainty
- Gain clarity and direction when things feel foggy
- Reflect on past experiences and what they’ve taught you
It’s a grounded, soulful space to check in with yourself.
Whether you’re feeling lost, stuck, curious, or at a turning point, tarot can offer a gentle path back to your centre — with honesty, compassion, and a touch of magic.
